I sure am one of those mediators that will follow a party to the elevator if I think he or she is walking out too soon. Yet, there are times when you must let them go. This has only happened to us one time but I am so happy as I look back that we let them go. My pride sure wanted to make it work but their actions were were right on the ethical line. It was a risk we were not willing to take. This blog post is wonderful in highlighting this important issue to mediators.
