Rules without Relationship = Rebellion…this applies not only to our own children which we have been entrusted to train up in the way of the Lord, but also for ourselves with our relationship with the Lord. Being a Christian is not about rules and a list of things you can’t do. It’s about having a relationship with the Almighty God, the Creator of the universe. Out Creator who so lovingly stitched us together in our mother’s womb and knows us better than anyone (even ourselves). He has a unique plan for each of one His children.

Rebellion, if not ameliorated leads to death. No parent wants to see their child in rebellion. No parent wants to see their own child self-destruct. The same with our Heavenly Father. So many people are under the false impression that they have to perform or be a certain way in order for God to love them, I know, because I was one of those people. That is a destructive lie. Nothing we do can ever make Him stop loving us. I was only able to realize that once I began a Relationship with Him. If you are struggling with this same notion, talk to Him about it. He knows. It’s not going to shock Him. Be real about it. None of us are perfect. We all have struggles, temptations, and insecurities we deal with. It is only when we face them and allow God to help us through that we can begin the process of healing and reconciliation.
