Anxiety

3 Main Reasons for Anxiety:

  1. Fear of the Future
  2. Conflict in the Present
  3. Past Regret

Anxiety literally causes a state of uneasiness and apprehension, and at times makes one feel as though they are suffocating. How many times do we experience it in our own lives? The Word of God is clear on worry and anxiety. God knows what continuous stress and anxiety does to our entire well being. He tells us not to worry (Matthew 6:25). This may be difficult to put into action, especially when there are circumstances that seem to be out of our control. Reaching for help in those times is key to relieving the presenting situation. Many don’t see reaching out for help as an option, because they could appear as weak or inadequate to deal with the situation. This could not be further from the truth.

Asking for help when a situation is getting or is out of control is the best thing anyone can do. We are not meant to be alone in this world. We are not meant to solve everything without the help of others.

We will not reach our potential if we allow situations that have an opportunity to be resolved diplomatically, resolve in some haphazard way. The latter increases anxiety and ultimately causes breakdowns in relationships.
